A 1700-meter long cape-turned-geological-park in Wanli, New Taipei City 萬里區，新台北 wan li qu, xin tai bei – we visited Yehliu Geopark and found ourselves standing amidst colossal limestone rock formations taking our breaths away. This is a scenic spot where mushroom rocks flaunt their eroded skin – the spotlight of which, is naturally, on the Queen’s Head 女王頭 nu wang tou. For 50 NT, we met the Queen and gasped our way through walls of stunning rock layers, as we stepped beside sea urchin fossils海膽化石hai dan hua shi embedded on grounds that rose from the bottom of the ocean a few thousands of years ago.
