I found nothing special about the church. It was a typical Filipino church where folk Catholicism surrounds its perimeter. Unlike Quiapo Church area which sells potions and mystical candles of all kinds, the Lucban Church has a pond outside where churchgoers may try their luck in tossing coins into tubes labeled with Peace, Prosperity, Hope and the like. Walking into the church right after the Holy Mass was a festive scene. Rather than Christians solemnly praying, tourists striking poses in front of Saints abound, together with photographers armed with their trusty SLRs.
